Web Link: Secure Web Based Electronic Document Management Solution
 Integrated Digital Systems (IDS) proudly introduces an Edge2004™
browser based application called Edge Web Link™. Edge Web Link™ provides
a permissions controlled view of Edge2004™features for records access
and management to meet the demands of today’s customers. Edge Web Link™
is a secure web browser accessible server application that is linked
directly with customers’ Edge2004™ thick Client Application that grants
users easy and secure access to add, store, retrieve, email and share
documents stored in Edge2004™ over the Internet, Intranet, Wide Area
Networks and VPN connections.
The Edge Web Link™ product to provides Edge2004™users secure remote
access to their records. The product may resides on your IIS server and
your database and the Image Directory can reside on the same server or a
separate server. Administrators will only have to update information
once for each different client application configuration of Edge2004™.
Access is protected using an ID and Password in Edge Secure Admin. Or
Active Directory. Edge Web Link provides for SSL and HTTPS encrypted
access.
Edge Web Link™ goes hand-in-hand with our Edge 2004™ Client/Server
application. Since the thick and thin clients share the same database
and image directory, all files and folders created or updated in one
will be available in the other. Edge Web Link™ logs all access and
changes by user access ID and password.
Edge Web Link™ allows users to Add, Delete, Edit, View, and View
Properties of each folder. Documents can be Added, Deleted, and Emailed
through the Edge Web Link™ client based permissions. Edge Web Link™ will
provide secure access to your records from anywhere by anyone with
permissions based on a valid username and password stored within the
Edge Web Link™ Server or Active Directory. Administrators can create
individual user accounts or group accounts, as well as Add, Edit, and
Delete folder and document fields from the Field Manager. Folders and
documents are protected by permissions. The owner of a folder or
document can give individual or group permissions that allow only those
specified users to view or edit the document.
Edge Web Link Options:
User Restrict Module - Our User Restrict Module allows
administrators to restrict users accessing Edge2004™ via Edge Web Link™
to a single, multiple or all-file view based on the File IDs to which
they have been granted access. This provides the ability to provide
secure access for a number of scenarios. Here are just a few examples:
- Customers can view their files,
- Patients can view their charts,
- Employees can view their HR files
- Doctors can view their patient records
- Lenders can view their loan files
- Citizens can view their tax, property and other files
- Investigators can view case files
PDA Access Module
With the Edge Web Link™ you can view your files and documents using a
web enabled PDA or Tablet PC over the Internet, Wireless Network or
agency/company network using any Windows Pocket PC 2000 or later version
using wireless technology.
