- Kofax releases Kofax
Capture 8.0 - Last week Kofax held
sessions for customers and partners introducing new Kofax document
capture product.
- IDS releases new Cascade
- Cascade a
strategic planning and performance
based budgeting software with document management features. Cascade was
designed around the requirements of the GPRA. Discussions began last
week with the Turkish Government and several federal agencies to begin
pilots of the new software
- IDS partners with
Panasonic to represent their new
line of scanners. Scanners will be available on IDS GSA Schedule.
- Edge2007 Document and
Records Management product ready for Microsoft Vista and Office2007 -
IDS Edge2007 .NET based product now fully tested and compliant for
Microsoft's new Vista operating system and Office Suite. Edge 2007 also
supports natively Open Office Suite and Adobe Capture 8.0 out of the
box. Edge2007 has a fully integrated concurrent licensed web
client, thick client capture workstation, and Office2003/2007 and
SharePoint 2003 & 2007 connectors.
- New Barcode Coversheet
and Separators reduce customer scanning cost -
IDS introduced a series of tools for customer use
to reduce the labor cost associated with production scanning. These new
tools can reduce the per image scanning cost by three to four cents. By
allowing Navy OJAG to insert barcode indexing coversheets and barcode
separator sheets in advance of IDS scanning they were able to
significantly reduce per image cost normally associated with the labor
to perform these functions manually.
